  1. Implementation of the new GFE and HUD Processing
    David A. Shean, CSEO, CEI (Moderator)
    Representatives of the Lender and Mortgage Broker communities
    • This panel will discuss the new GFE (Good Faith Estimate Statement) and HUD processing and how the industries will be transmitting information and number to each as it applies to these new regulations creeping up on us for January 1, 2010. This session will cover this process from beginning to end starting with the mortgage broker/lender taking the loan application, then preparing and delivering the GFE to the borrower/buyer along with the modification to the GFE during the process. You will hear how the GFE numbers are provided to the Settlement Agent and how the process is handled for dealing with the numbers that do not fit the allowances and then ending with the funding and closing process.
