Building Industry Foundation Domain: Purpose: CBIF is the education, research and information center for California's building and construction industries. Founded in 1978 through the California Building Industry Association, the 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation is dedicated to serving the housing and construction industries. We are dedicated to supporting and advancing the building industry. Governed by standards of professional practice, the Foundation serves the industry through educational seminars, scholarships, endowments, research and professional development.
