What a year we have had. It amazes me that this will be my last President’s Message to you and I would like to Thank You and let you know how Proud and Honored I feel to have served as your President this year. A Big Thank You to Mike Belote, Jenny Blevins, Headquarters, all of my Board and the CEA Directors, for all of your hard work and support which has made this an outstanding year. You are all very much appreciated!

Mike Belote has led us on a tireless fight with John Garamendi, the Insurance Commissioner’s, “proposed DOI Regulations.” I have received

compliments from CLTA on the great job CEA is doing and acknowledgements that they feel CEA is the leader in this fight. Please, everyone spread the word to your friends and family about what is happening on this issue.

I ask you to let your co-workers know how important it is for them to continue or become members in CEA. We are well respected at the State Capital, and when fighting these important issues, our voice becomes much stronger the larger our membership is.

Speaking of membership, congratulations on exceeding our 2006 membership goal! We now have 2852 members and the Membership Committee set the goal at 2850. Good job everyone. Thank you members for your continued support of CEA.
